Bartender

We are looking for an enthusiastic & skilled bartender to join our F&B team & provide an excellent member experience. This position will be able to create classic and innovative drinks and uplift the dining experience exceeding our members’ expectations. This skilled applicant must be very personable and out-going with a strong understanding in the craft of curating the perfect cocktail. This position is a very important key in the success of our department, the perfect applicant must be a team player with the willingness to learn our system, steps of service and willing to help train staff on spirits, wine, beer & non-alcoholic beverages. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing beverages for guests and dining room service staff, according to standardized recipes. Responsible for ordering and serving food for guests that dine at the bar top while preparing drinks to service both our Grill & Dining Room. A friendly, accommodating demeanor, as well as an ability to multitask, are essential for success in this position. Shifts: Wednesday-Saturday 2pm-9pm; Golf Season May-October: Wednesday-Sunday 2pm-10pm Work Performed: · Maintain dialogue with Members while upholding a warm, positive, and friendly persona. · Arrive for all shifts on time and in appropriate uniform as described in the Employee Handbook. · Verify age of patrons according to OLCC standards. Do not serve alcohol to intoxicated members/guests; inform your Manager immediately. · Communicate verbally and in writing with English as a primary language. · Commitment to recognize and acknowledge members by name. · Knowledge of all house wines, spirits and beer. · Prepare drinks according to standardized recipes. · Charge for drinks according to specific situations and bill to correct member account. · Ability to use Jonas point of sale system (POS) efficiently and effectively. · To have complete knowledge of all menu items including preparation. · Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available. · Prepare garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks. · Stock bar as needed; maintain and clean all bar equipment. · Maintain records of liquor, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times. · Clean and lock up according to listed procedures. · Answer the phone as necessary for to-go orders & transmit messages. · Create and maintain a safe work environment, inform management of any hazards. · Assist with service of wait staff whenever possible. · Be able to serve & run food when necessary.
