Temporary Full-time Float Teacher

Kendal at Hanover is a non-profit Lifeplan Community located in Hanover, New Hampshire, and is home to more than 400 residents, and 300 staff. Our on-site Early Learning Center is licensed for 28 children, ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We have an exceptional inter-generational program. Kendal at Hanover is seeking a Temporary full-time Float Teacher (40 hours per week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) to work for approximately six months. Teachers at Kendal assist in the daily operation and coordination of the Child Care Center, providing children with a learning environment and experiences to help their development socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Interacting with children in a warm, friendly, and affectionate mannerResponding to behaviors in a calm, sensitive, and supportive fashionHave meaningful conversations and interactions with children, family, and coworkersAssisting children as they explore their environment and interactionsAssuring children's basic needs are met dailyCompleting daily tasks including health safety cleanliness and documentation as neededResponding quickly and calmly in emergency situations following guidelines Candidate Requirements: Candidates must complete a NH/VT Child Care Licensing background check.
