The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership team, providing essential financial direction and oversight. This senior role demands a professional with a deep understanding of real estate development finance, including cash flow modeling, project-level forecasting, capital planning, and financial analysis to support operational and investment decisions. The VP of Finance will be responsible for leading the finance department in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and M&A, as well as overseeing cash flow, capital funding, and bank negotiations. The ideal candidate will be both analytical and strategic, capable of anticipating capital needs, optimizing funding strategies, and offering actionable insights to the ownership and project leadership teams. Applicants for the VP of Finance and Financial Controller position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with an MBA preferred, and must have a CPA designation. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance role, particularly within the commercial real estate industry, is required. The role also demands proficiency in financial management software, and experience with Yardi, QuickBooks, and Builder Trend is a plus. The candidate should be adept at data analysis, forecasting methods, and possess strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include fostering investor relations, managing FP&A, ensuring financial reporting and audit readiness, and overseeing property management, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
