Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor will take part in early‑stage production‑line layout planning. After production launch, this role takes full charge of daily shop‑floor operations and leads the production team to achieve targets on safety, quality, output and cost.The candidate shall have hands‑on experience in shop‑floor equipment layout and solid working knowledge of plant utility systems including water, power and compressed air. He / She will be involved in production‑line adjustment, equipment relocation, utility load assessment and material‑flow optimization. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and quality teams to reduce equipment downtime and drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities1. Oversee day‑to‑day production operations, arrange shift schedules and work assignments. Monitor KPIs including output, yield, OEE and on‑time delivery, and resolve on‑site operational issues in a timely manner.2. Participate in shop‑floor equipment layout planning and adjustment. Support equipment relocation and production‑line material‑flow re‑design, and review layout proposals from a production‑operation perspective.3. Possess fundamental knowledge of plant utility systems: water supply & drainage, power distribution and compressed‑air systems. Identify utility‑related bottlenecks; coordinate with maintenance teams for load assessment and troubleshooting during line modification and new‑equipment installation.4. Manage production team: handle shift scheduling, on‑the‑job training and performance coaching. Enforce OSHA safety regulations and maintain a compliant and safe working environment.5. Work with maintenance to implement TPM practices, track equipment failures and minimize unplanned downtime.6. Promote lean‑manufacturing initiatives, cost‑reduction activities and 5S workplace organization; deliver continuous‑improvement projects.7. Ensure proper documentation of production reports, shift hand‑over logs and quality non‑conformity records.8. Support new‑line and new‑equipment setup: provide operational input on equipment placement and utility connection requirements.Qualifications1. Associate degree or above; major in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering is preferred.2. 3‑5+ years of shop‑floor supervisory experience within US manufacturing environment; familiar with OSHA safety requirements.3. Practical knowledge of production‑equipment layout and material‑flow design. Familiar with water, power and compressed‑air utilities; able to interpret basic layout and utility schematic drawings.4. Strong on‑site problem‑solving skills with exposure to lean improvement tools.5. Proven team‑leadership experience; prior experience leading a team of 5+ members is preferred.
