Electrical Characterization Engineer – Zonals/BMS (1)Required Experience & SkillsStrong ECU hardware development background – hands-on experience working with Electronic Control Units. 5+ years of experience.Experience with PCBA design, fabrication, and manufacturingExperience in electrical design verification & characterization of Zonal and Battery Management System (BMS) ECUs Hands-on experience executing electrical test plans, performing bench level electrical testing of various ECU board revisionsSkilled in determining the root cause of complex electronic hardware module level issues identified during testing, manufacturing or in the fieldElectrical test experience – practical familiarity with Zonal and Battery Management System (BMS) ECUs electronics test and validation.Zonal and Battery Management System (BMS) systems expertise – deep understanding of Zonal & BMS related system requirements.Familiarity with engineering tools like Logic Analyser, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Multi meter, CANoe, CANApe.Cross functional collaboration with EE design teams to define test plans, test specifications, develop automation scripta for HW test & generate test reportsPreferred Skills Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and diagnostic services (UDS, OBD) highly beneficial.Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE standards beneficial.Knowledge of Python for automation script development.Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.Work Location: Onsite Irvine, CA, USA - due to hardware dependencies and proximity to the design team.Years Of Experience : 5-7 Years
