Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic construction management team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in overseeing project execution, coordinating between teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Engineer will utilize advanced construction management software and technical skills to support project planning, scheduling, and execution.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
Collaborate with project teams to coordinate activities, resources, and timelines effectively.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
Support construction estimating processes and review contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other industry-standard software for project documentation and communication.
Monitor project progress on-site and in the office to identify potential delays or issues early.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth workflow on construction sites.
Assist in maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations during project execution.
Prepare reports on project status, risks, and opportunities for senior management review.
Contribute to project closeout activities including documentation compilation and lessons learned.
Experience
Proven experience in construction management or civil engineering roles with a focus on project coordination or site supervision.
Familiarity with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid is preferred.
Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is essential.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Primavera P3 for project scheduling is required; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
Knowledge of contracts management, construction site safety protocols, and construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of project management principles including scope control, time management, and resource allocation.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
