Your role as an Audiology Technician will allow you to serve the community, simplify healthcare, and help to provide creative solutions to ensure a world class experience by performing selected tasks in patient assessment and management, and working with hearing aids and other amplification systems. This position is responsible for fostering patient communication on the status of their hearing aid service and providing essential customer service support to patients, as well as completing a range of technical and inventory tasks related to hearing aids and associated products.You'll join a creative and passionate team of physicians, audiologists, and clinical staff. This role offers plenty of opportunity to grow your skills and expand your knowledge in healthcare!RESPONSIBILITIESProvides excellent customer service and maintains positive public relations and assists in maintaining data in office management software.Maintains hearing aid supplies and orders, including but not limited to, placing new orders, maintaining inventory of clinical supplies, and completing support duties for billing purposes.Performs order tracking to ensure timely arrivals for hearing aid fittings, completes repair forms, and sends out repairs as necessary.Checks hearing aids upon arrival from manufacturer and assists customers with exchanges or returns as necessary.Communicates to patients when hearing aid is available for pick up and schedules fitting appointments when necessary.Demonstrates and sells Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs), batteries, and other special products.Performs routine cleaning of hearing aids.Verifies exam rooms are clean and appropriately stocked with audiology supplies and equipment and rooms patients according to appropriate appointment type.Shuts down all equipment in hearing aid fitting rooms and lab, verifying all rooms are clean at the end of the day.Sends copies of audiograms, reports, letters and thank you cards as needed.Assists with and supports marketing efforts/activities.Makes and returns phone calls on behalf of the Audiologist.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSAssociates Degree1+ years of customer service or sales experiencePrevious experience with data entry or other role that heavily relies on computer utilization Valid Driver's LicensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSpeech and Hearing Science backgroundExperience working with a diverse patient population, including geriatric patients.Midwest CultureHere at Midwest ENT, we are committed to respecting every person, acting with integrity, and owning our outlook.
