To accomplish these goals, we allocate capital expenditures to projects we believe offer the highest rate of return and we deploy leading drilling and completion techniques and technologies in our development efforts.Title:Lease Operator IFull-Time/Part-Time:Full timeFLSA:United States of America (Non-Exempt)Description:JOB SUMMARY:The Lease Operator is responsible for performing duties related to the daily operations and maintenance of assigned wells and production facilities safely and according to Company policy.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs daily inspections of assigned oil and gas leasesGauges and reports daily production of oil and water in storage tanksReads gas meters, calculates, and reports daily produced gas volumesMonitors daily plunger runs on all plunger wellsInspects plungers, and performs gauge ring tests on a monthly basis on all plunger lift wellsReads, records, and reports tubing and casing pressures and choke sizes on assigned wellsInspects pipelines, valves, and flanges to detect malfunctions or leaks and makes repairsOperates natural gas compressors, refrigeration plants, JT plants, dehydrators, generatorsPerforms daily readings and reporting on assigned compressors and chemical pumpsReports lease deficiencies and other problems to the supervisorOversees the operation of artificial lift equipment, such as downhole pumps, plunger-lift, and pumping unitsMaintain production rates according to targetsMinimize downtime and control LOE (Lease Operating Expenses)Inspects each location visited and repairs or makes recommendations to management for the repairOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to serve as a technical resource to supervisor for coordination of work with external contractor compressor companiesAbility to use the Internet, and operate iPhones, iPads, and laptop computersAbility to make minor repairs to control valves and pilotsKnowledgeable in trouble shooting mechanical problems on equipment and ensure that the problem is solvedAbility to act as the initial point of contact for other lease operators on mechanical troubleshootingAbility to create and manage project lists for each lease as neededProficient in the start-up and operation of each lease and its associated surface equipmentKnowledge and skills to operate artificial lift equipment, such as downhole pumps, programmable controllers, and pumping unitsAbility to work rotational schedule that may require duties be performed any time of the day or on the weekends, holidays, etc.Ability to effectively transfer mechanical knowledge to other employeesAbility to do simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication)Ability to work over overtime and outside of normal operating hours as neededGood communication skills to interact effectively with members of small and large teamsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical aptitude with good working knowledge of all oil and gas surface production equipment and well automationStrong background with compressor operationsExperience with Microsoft Office productsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are typical to that of the field environment, and are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Ability to climb vessel ladders and work at heights up to 25 feetMust be able to walk, stand, and otherwise navigate uneven rural terrainThis position requires walking or standing for extended periods in all types of terrain and working in environments of extreme temperatures (heat, cold, dust, etc.)Must be able to manually open and close valves and other equipmentMust be able to use pipe wrenches and other applicable oilfield related toolsExposure to loud noise, occupational hazards, or outdoor elementsAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and walkways as associated with oilfield environmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hearThe employee frequently is required to use hands along with fingers, to type, squeeze, handle or feel materialsThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, 75-100 lbs. on an occasional basisPOSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 8 days on and 6 days off rotating schedule. A minimum of 12 hours per day is expected, but can vary due to workload/needs of the company.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in both a professional office environment and a field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, iPads, iPhones, laptop computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job also operates in a field environment with equipment, dust, debris, and varying weather conditions.TRAVEL:Frequent travel is expected for this position.SAFETY SENSITIVE:This position is designated as safety sensitive.LICENSING AND VEHICLE OPERATION REQUIREMENTS:The individual in this position is required to maintain an active and valid driver's license in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulatory requirements.
