A Machine Operator is responsible for the initial sorting, photographing, decontaminating and drying of all invasive medical devices in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal’s standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. Decontamination Technicians must be able to work with strong smells (chemicals, body fluids) while handling contamination and/or sharp surgical instruments.Essential Functions Of The JobReceive containers of devices from receiving team and confirm all necessary paperwork presentSort each bin of incoming contaminated devices by device type in a safe mannerDocument devices received and forward to appropriate decontamination area or reject if it is a device that is not eligible for reprocessingTake appropriate steps to decontaminate devices which may be one or more of the following; Use chemical soaks to sanitize and loosen debris, Load devices into baskets and place in ultrasonic bath to loosen debris, Steam clean/scrub devices, Scrub devices with variety of implements to remove debris (blood, human tissue)Dry, cleaned devices using compressed airIn each duty previously listed, technician must confirm devices are kept separate according to documentation and/or organizational systemVerify that devices being sent to next production area are an exact match to documentation and paper records, sign off on documentsAssist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goalsOther duties as assignedHere’s some highlights of what we have to offer:$1,000 Sign On Bonus if HiredSet 40-hour Weekly Schedules with Consistent Work HoursClimate Controlled EnvironmentCompany paid scrubs after 90 days of employment3 Choices of Medical Insurance CoverageDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlex Spending Programs401k with Company MatchCompany Paid Life InsuranceCompany Paid Short and Long-Term DisabilityPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holidays)Onsite “Mini-Market”Monthly Employee Treats and LunchesTuition Reimbursement ProgramGym Membership Reimbursement ProgramIncredible Employee Discounts on Medical ProductsRequired QualificationsMust be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and advanced reading ability required)Must be able to use a computer to locate information and print reportsStand for 8 hour shift with appropriate meal and rest breaksWork in a room with sinks, racks, tables, and limited room for movementWork in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise, humidity, and moistureLift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 45 lbs up to 10 times a dayPerform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shiftAble to focus and work safely with sharp contaminated devices at a fast pacePreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDAny prior experience in a manufacturing role is preferredMedline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position$17.25 - $25.00 HourlyThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
