This role primarily assists with spot cleaning as well as taking precautions for office and common area spaces by completing sanitation tasks but assists with other tasks as needed.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:Empty and spot clean (when needed) all waste receptacles and replace linersDust and spot clean all horizontal hard surfacesSpot clean office doors, doors frames, light switches, and walls to remove fingerprints and smudgesClean and polish all sinks in kitchen areas (as needed)Wipe down break room chairsDust ceiling fans, vents, and blindsMaintain compliance with all company policies and established proceduresMaintain company standards and programs for safety and securityMaintain productivity levels at or above company standards with minimal supervisionTreat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respectMaintain good communication with your supervisor and other employeesProvide outstanding customer serviceCommunicate any needed supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and/or maintenance work needed to your supervisorMaintain the quality of performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assignedPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications:Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role preferredBasic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling proceduresAbility to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredGood organization and time-management skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to traverse work site and transport equipment used for completing job functionsAbility to position self to reach areas both below waist level to the floor and above their headAbility to detect, observe, and inspect work areas to identify potential opportunities and concerns.Ability to transport up to 20lbs through work site as neededAbility to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritantsMust meet minimum age requirementsBehavioral Requirements:Attention to Detail: Thorough in completing tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygieneDependability: Reliable and punctual, able to complete tasks with minimal supervisionIntegrity: Honest and ethical, particularly in handling company property and equipment as well as clocking time accuratelyFlexibility: Willing to adapt to changing tasks and schedulesCommunication Skills: Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
