Tooling & Weld Fixture Designer

Matrix Metalcraft is an innovative global metal fabrication and manufacturing company who is seeking to add a Weld Fixture and Tooling designer to our growing team. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for designing stamping tools and weld fixtures to support the production floor. Job Duties Design small to medium sized single hit forming tools for use in Press Brakes and Hydraulic Presses Design weld fixtures for both manual welding as well as use in robotic weld cells Create laser blank files using Mastercam Requirements Strong knowledge of designing weld fixtures and basic forming tools Strong knowledge of designing in Solidworks Strong knowledge of 2D & 3D Mastercam Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Minimum 3 years Solidworks Ability to read blueprints and drawings, good understanding of GD&T is required Must have attention to detail and quality Must work well with others Good attendance is a must Work in an efficient and timely manner Additional Beneficial Qualifications Robotic Welder programming experience a plus CNC programming a plus Laser programming a plus Welding experience a plus Pay is based on experience of candidate
