Electromechanical Systems Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to maintain and improve our manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will troubleshoot electrical controls, PLCs, and motor control centers, ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise in reading wiring diagrams and your problem-solving abilities will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities
Maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure products meet specifications, contributing to consistent product quality.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.
Troubleshoot and maintain electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Collaborate with Maintenance and Production Supervisors/Managers to address project needs and improve equipment performance.
Uphold high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Address and report safety issues immediately, fostering a culture of safety.
Fabricate parts as needed, ensuring timely repairs and minimizing production delays.
Qualifications
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in PLC ladder diagram reading and understanding of wiring diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills
Technical school certificate or diploma in electronics technology or electro-mechanical engineering technology.
Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
