Sheet Metal Foreman

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing and performing assembly, installation and repair of sheet metal products and equipment, such as duct work, air handlers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, etc. Job Responsibilities Direct and oversee one or more crews and/or jobs simultaneously. Installing prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes. Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of duct systems. Take field measurements and create drawings for fabrication shop. Requirements A High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years as a Sheet Metal Journeyman with experience in commercial service; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience as Sheet Metal Foreman and/or Superintendent. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to plan and execute work per job schedules. Effective communication skills. Availability to work 40+ hour weeks, based on work load and needs. This position requires working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage). This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling and standing for prolonged periods of time. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
