JID Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced *Developer/Programmer Analyst III* for a Texas state government healthcare data modernization initiative.
*Position Details*
- *Job Title:* Developer/Programmer Analyst III
- *Location:* Austin, TX (Local candidates only — within 50 miles)
- *Work Arrangement:* Hybrid — 4 days remote, 1 day onsite (subject to change)
- *Contract Duration:* December 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027 (anticipated)
- *Work Schedule:* Full-time, Monday–Friday
- *Interview:* In person
- *Opportunity:* Potential extensions, subject to agency approval
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain automated data processing solutions using Python, SAS, R, or comparable programming languages.
- Design and implement data integration workflows, dashboards, and automation solutions.
- Support healthcare data interoperability and electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR).
- Develop automated data ingestion, validation, transformation, and reporting processes.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare system documentation.
- Collaborate with program, epidemiology, and technical teams to modernize public health surveillance systems.
Required Qualifications:
- *8+ years* of experience developing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Python, SAS, R, or similar scripts.
- *8+ years* of experience with system integration, dashboard development, and workflow automation.
- Experience working with complex structured or semi-structured datasets, databases, and SQL queries.
- Strong experience with automated data integration testing, validation, and technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare interoperability experience involving *HL7, FHIR, XML, EHR, HIE, or eCR/eICR*.
- Experience with public health registries or surveillance systems.
- SQL, ETL pipelines, data linkage, and matching techniques.
- Knowledge of clinical terminology standards such as SNOMED CT.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
