Its Lyra Empower platform combines AI-powered technology with integrated care solutions to support improved access, clinical effectiveness, and cost efficiency.## About the RoleLyra Health is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure while supporting and improving software delivery pipelines.The role will focus heavily on modernizing platform tooling, evolving Lyra’s production Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) environment, and optimizing managed AWS cloud databases and services, including RDS, Aurora, and ElastiCache.The ideal candidate enjoys creating frictionless developer experiences, automating infrastructure, and building reliable, secure cloud platforms. This is a remote US-based position.### Key Responsibilities#### Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering* Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu, Python, and Kubernetes.* Modernize and improve Lyra’s production EKS infrastructure.* Optimize managed cloud services and datastores, including AWS RDS, Aurora, and ElastiCache.* Build reliable, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure solutions.#### Platform Tooling & Developer Experience* Develop and maintain internal platform tools using a software-product mindset.* Build reusable developer templates and self-service CI/CD pipelines.* Create abstractions that improve developer productivity and reduce infrastructure friction.* Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting languages.#### CI/CD & Automation* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD.* Improve software delivery workflows through automation and reusable platform components.* Support engineering teams in adopting efficient development and deployment practices.#### Security & Governance* Operationalize cloud security through continuous vulnerability remediation.* Enforce strict IAM policies and compliance guardrails within platform pipelines.* Implement IAM processes and tools that support data privacy and protection requirements.* Work closely with engineering teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.#### Monitoring & Reliability* Monitor and analyze system and network performance.* Identify potential infrastructure issues and implement proactive reliability improvements.* Support high availability, scalability, and operational resilience across cloud environments.#### Cross-Functional Collaboration* Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and machine learning teams.* Work with developers to continually improve cloud infrastructure and developer experience.* Contribute to technical solutions independently while collaborating effectively across teams.### Required Qualifications* 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related role focused on public cloud environments.* Strong hands-on experience with AWS.* Experience with AWS services such as EKS, SageMaker, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, KMS, RDS, ELB/ALB, MWAA, and Identity Center.* Demonstrated experience building modular and reusable Terraform or OpenTofu infrastructure.* Experience building and maintaining Helm templates and packages.* Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and/or ArgoCD.* Hands-on experience administering, scaling, and troubleshooting production multi-tenant Kubernetes environments, particularly EKS.* Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.* Ability to build automation scripts, internal tools, and integrations for development teams.* Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed team.### Preferred Qualifications* Experience with modern Kubernetes cluster autoscaling strategies such as Karpenter.* Experience with cloud cost optimization techniques.* Experience supporting data science, machine learning, or AI infrastructure.### Work ArrangementThis is a fully remote position.
