This is not just an order-taking role; they are looking for a strategic partner for their customers. You will focus on B2B sales, serving Pool Builders, Service Professionals, and Retailers. The ideal candidate is an industry veteran ready to play a key role in customer retention, revenue generation, and territory expansion.Key Responsibilities of this Sales - BDR role:• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to increase sales and profits within the assigned territory. This includes managing a diverse book of businesscomprising key accounts, opportunity accounts, and new prospects.• Relationship Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships by acting as a "go-to"business advisor. Understand your customers' business models and provide solutions that help them grow, rather than just selling them products.• Prospecting & Hunter Mentality: Actively generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research. Follow up on qualified leads with discipline and consistency.• Daily Execution: Plan and execute a specific number of daily scheduled sales calls with defined objectives. Travel within the designated territory to deliver best-in-class sales presentations and product demonstrations.• Technical & Educational Sales: Proactively provide solutions to customer challenges. Coordinate with Swim Distributors management and vendor representatives to bring training and new technology opportunities to your customers.• Sales Administration: Provide quotes, pricing, and product data promptly and accurately. Negotiate terms, close sales, and handle post-sale support to ensure total customer satisfaction.• Market Intelligence: Stay current on competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends through ongoing research. Coordinate with corporate marketing initiatives to stay ahead of the curve.Qualifications• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the swimming pool industry• Local Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the local pool builder and retailer base in the assigned territory is essential. • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Skills:Proven ability to sell value, not just price.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.Travel & Schedule• Territory: This is a field-based position focused on a specifically assigned geographic area.• Travel: The role requires daily travel within the territory to visit job sites and customer offices, but you will be home every night.• Events: Occasional attendance at industry trade shows, networking events, and after-hours customer appreciation events is required.Compensation & Benefits• Salary: Competitive Base Salary + Commission Structure commensurate with experience.• Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance provided.• Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, 401k, and Paid Time Off.Pay range: $55K - $75k/ year DOE
