Materials Supervisor

12 MONTHS CONTRACT !!The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for leading teams of hourly, bargaining employees in completing material receiving and delivery activities that enable the plant to meet daily production targets. This role directly supports daily production, the Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for troubleshooting problems as they arise and allocating resources and manpower accordingly to resolve issues without impact to plant throughput performance. The Material Handling Supervisor participates in and promotes lean Production Way activities.Responsibilities include:Interacts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadershipResponsible for Manpower Management including Hourly Employee absenteeism, training and Production Way InvolvementCollaborates with Union Leadership to address Team Member concernsResponsible for monitoring and replenishing production lineside inventory stock levelsResponsible for managing Material Handling Equipment including establishing safe operating procedures and arranging standard maintenanceResponsible for daily reporting for area safety, quality, throughput performance and inventory control managementBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to work any shift and overtime as requiredAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google SuitePublic Speaking SkillsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field18 Months Experience in prior Manufacturing or Supervisory rolePrevious experience working in a union environment
