AWS Global CTO Leader

Introduction The Global AWS CTO is accountable for defining, building, and scaling IBM Consulting's architecture and solutions of differentiated "on AWS" offerings across consulting geographies, domains, and industry verticals. This role translates AWS platform capabilities into repeatable, market-facing consulting solutions that leverage IBM Consulting assets, accelerators, and IP to drive growth and client impact. Your role and responsibilities Offering Strategy & Development Define the global strategy and roadmap for IBM Consulting's "on AWS" technical solutions and architecture across consulting geographies, practices and industries. Partner with IBM Global AWS Offering Leaders to productize solutions that run natively on AWS, use AWS services along with IBM Consulting assets and delivery models. Translate AWS services and architectures into differentiated, scalable offerings with clear value propositions, reference architectures, and commercial constructs. Thought leadership in various forums to position IBM and AWS offerings. AWS Alignment & Differentiation Serve as the senior leader for AWS-aligned technology within IBM Consulting. Align solutions with AWS roadmap, partner programs, competencies, and co-sell motions. Drive joint differentiation with AWS through industry-relevant, consulting-led technology. Team Leadership & Governance Sit as a member of the Global AWS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Operating Team (OT) and work collaboratively with other SLT and OT team members. Work collaboratively with IBM geography-based AWS CTOs, technical architects, and account/client teams to bring best thinking and help problem solve. Establish governance for technical management from incubation through scale. Ensure quality, consistency, and reuse across the AWS technology portfolio. Lead QTR with AWS to track offering development and progress. Hybrid: Your work location of City, State was assigned based on business need and currently your role designated as a hybrid role. Hybrid roles are expected to perform their primary duties from a combination of IBM location, client sites or work at home. The required number of days to be in the office is to be determined by your management team. Any changes to this work arrangement must be preapproved by your manager before any changes are made. This Job can be performed from anywhere in the US. Required technical and professional expertise • Deep Expertise in Technology Solution Design: Proven experience in defining the overall structure of programs or systems, identifying organizational needs, and breaking them down into manageable projects. A track record of scaling projects as needed and advising on products based on cost-benefit analysis and research. • Experience in Technical Leadership: A history of providing technical guidance and support to software development teams, translating and explaining requirements to designers and developers, and ensuring seamless project execution. • Mastery of Project Development Oversight: Demonstrated ability to design functional technology solutions, oversee development and implementation of programs, and ensure all parts of the project run smoothly. • Proven Project Management Skills: Experience acting as a project manager, overseeing IT assignments aimed at improving the business, and ensuring seamless project execution. • Strategic Business Improvement: A background in identifying opportunities for business improvement, defining and advising on technology solutions that drive growth and efficiency. Preferred technical and professional experience 10 years in consulting, cloud platforms, or technology-enabled transformation, with strong AWS focus. Proven experience in technology leadership within a global consulting organization. Familiarity with AWS services and architectures and their application to enterprise and industry use cases. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate in a matrixed, global environment. Strong executive communication and alliance leadership skills. Success Measures Adoption and revenue growth of IBM Consulting "on AWS" offerings. Pipeline contribution and co-sell impact with AWS. Effective partnering with IBM geography-based AWS CTOs, technical architects, and account/client teams. Market differentiation and client adoption of repeatable technology solutions.
