About the RoleLowcountry Urgent Care is hiring a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Walterboro clinic. Walterboro is the county seat of Colleton County in the South Carolina Lowcountry, a small-town community conveniently located between Charleston and Beaufort along I-95.What to expect: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, $55-$70/hour ($103K-$131K annually), no on-call, and a benefits package recognized as a Top 10 program nationally among private urgent care organizations.You will be the primary provider on-site, managing acute and episodic care independently in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You are supported by established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and direct access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set you up for success from day one.Clinical ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging.Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health. Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience.Practice EnvironmentAverage patient volume of 3-4 patients per hour, supporting thorough evaluation, quality care, and complete documentation. Clinical leadership and network resources are accessible when needed.Fully equipped clinics with on-site diagnostics and Experity EMR. Established workflows and clinical protocols to support efficient, high-quality care delivery.ScheduleFull-time, 3 x 12-hour shifts per weekRotating weekendsNo on-call requirementsSchedules are published in advance via a self-scheduling systemAdditional shifts are easily available via the scheduling app with time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours per weekCompensationHourly rate of $55-$70/hour based on experience, credentials, and clinic location. Annual equivalent of approximately $103K-$131K. Productivity incentives are available above base compensation.
