Engineering Manager (Electronics Assembly & Test) Frederick, MD 165k+ Comprehensive BenefitsAre you a Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager with a strong background in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and SMT/PCBA process engineering? I am partnering with my client for an Engineering Manager to drive operational efficiency, lead major improvement initiatives, and mentor a high-performing team of manufacturing and test engineers. In this role, you will partner closely with our Operations Manager and Director of Quality to scale site capabilities, optimize front-end engineering and NPI processes, and serve as a primary technical liaison for customers and suppliers.Team Leadership: Hire, manage, and mentor manufacturing engineers, test engineers, and production services staff, fostering career development and continuous feedback.Process Excellence: Oversee process development and continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with IPC, ISO, and customer standards.Technical & Strategic Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact for customers, vendors, and OEMs, while collaborating across marketing, supply chain, PCB layout, and accounting.Operations Support: Address real-time manufacturing challenges (downtime, yield, quality deviations), manage labor quoting across sites, and contribute to contract/design reviews.Ideal Candidate ProfileEducation: B.S. in EngineeringExperience: 7+ years in electronics manufacturing, preferred 3+ years managing manufacturing/process engineers.Technical Background: Prior hands-on experience as an SMT/PCBA Manufacturing or Process Engineer.
