Early Childhood Support Staff (2 Part-Time Positions)
Florence Crittenton Family Services - Child Enrichment Center
Florence Crittenton is hiring caring and dependable team members to support our early childhood classrooms serving childrenages 0–5. We currently have two part-time opportunities available: Teacher Float and Early Childhood Substitute Teacher.
Both roles help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment while supporting our teaching team and young learners.
Position 1 - Early Childhood Teacher Float
Pay: $15.00 – $15.75 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm (20 hours/week)
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Note: This is a year-round position (not seasonal).
What You'll Do
Support classrooms with play-based learning and activities
Assist with transitions, meals, rest time, and daily routines
Encourage social-emotional development and cooperative play
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and staff
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Passion for working with young children
Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
Ability to pass a background check
Early childhood experience is preferred but not required.
Position 2 - Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Varies based on program needs
Status: Sub, Non-Exempt, not a benefit-eligible position
What You'll Do
Step into classrooms when staff are absent
Assist with lesson plans and classroom activities
Support children’s learning and development
Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
Communicate with staff and follow program procedures
Qualifications
Interest in early childhood education
Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Previous preschool or classroom experience is helpful but not required.
