Respiratory Therapist (RT)Reports To: Executive Director Post Acute ServicesPosition SummarySt. Dominic Village, a faith-based senior living community, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to our residents. This role supports our mission of delivering exceptional, resident-centered care in a respectful and spiritually grounded environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and treat residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditionsAdminister oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and airway managementMonitor resident response and adjust care as neededCollaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teamsMaintain accurate and compliant documentationEnsure proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited programCurrent Texas Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or acute care preferredMinimum of 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred (skilled nursing, rehab, or acute care experience strongly preferred)Geriatric experience a plusDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with:o Medicare/Medicaid regulationso State and federal guidelinesDocument treatments, resident responses, and progress notesParticipate in audits and ensure regulatory complianceEquipment & SafetyEnsure proper setup, use, cleaning, and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipmentMonitor oxygen systems and ensure safe usage throughout the facilityAdhere to infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
