Software Engineer

RCT is seeking a senior Software Engineer to support a large (200+ person) government program focused on Identity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), authentication, authorization, and entitlement systems. The role involves modernizing legacy applications, developing new capabilities, and ensuring secure, reliable mission-critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and modernize legacy Java applications.Develop full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and Elasticsearch.Build RESTful APIs.Develop custom ETL solutions.Deploy and configure applications on AWS EC2 using custom scripts.Work with AWS cloud services.Perform unit testing, code reviews, and automated testing using Selenium.Use Agile/Scrum development practices.Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation and solution design.Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI with Polygraph.Bachelor's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.Strong experience with: JavaSpring BootAngular (TypeScript)AWS (Cloud)Custom ETL developmentExperience with: GitJenkinsSeleniumRundeckLinux command line (Red Hat)Preferred QualificationsIdentity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM) experience.Containerization (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes).Full-stack development.UI/UX familiarity.AWS Certification.Additional automation experience.RCT Systems offers:Competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance)Immediate 401k vestingGenerous PTO and flexible schedules$500.00 annual technology allowanceRCT Systems is committed and proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
