Exciting Opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist - DAYS Job Description: - Shift: 0830-1700, Tuesday to Saturday - Start: ASAP Key Responsibilities: - Analyze specimens according to established section procedures and policies - Ensure the appropriateness of samples while effectively applying test procedures - Confirm unusual results with thorough reviews and report all findings according to laboratory policy - Collaborate with clinicians to facilitate accurate patient assessments Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent field - Certification/License: - CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification as a medical technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Must meet CLIA '88 requirements for high complexity testing Skills Required: - Proficiency in reading and writing English for effective communication - Experience operating laboratory equipment Experience: - Preferably one year of general laboratory experience Environment: - Routine exposure risk to bloodborne pathogens and potentially infectious materials - Required to wear gloves, a laboratory coat, facemask, goggles, and other protective gear - Exposure to hazardous chemicals, biohazardous materials, sharp objects, and mental stress Physical Requirements: - May need to work beyond standard shifts based on workload and staffing needs - Ability to stand, sit, and ambulate throughout the assigned shift - Capable of moving laboratory supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
