Power & Renewables Transactional Associate Attorney

An Am100 law firm is seeking a mid level associate to join its Energy Transactions team in Houston.This is an opportunity to join a growing and well established energy practice, advising clients on power and renewable energy transactions, including M&A and joint ventures.The role is suited to an associate comfortable handling complex, multi party transactions while working closely with senior lawyers and clients.The RoleAdvise on power and renewable energy M&A and joint venture transactionsDraft and negotiate key transaction documents, including:Purchase and sale agreementsJoint venture agreementsDevelopment agreementsManage due diligence and transaction processes through to closingWork within multi disciplinary teams across officesTake on direct client interaction and responsibilityMust Haves4-6 years experience in transactional law (ideally energy-focused)Experience in M&A and/or joint venture transactionsStrong drafting and negotiation skillsSolid organisational and project management abilityJD from an ABA accredited law schoolActive membership and good standing with the Texas BarNice to HavesDirect experience in power and renewable energy transactionsExposure to complex, multi jurisdictional dealsStrong interpersonal and client facing skillsExperience working across cross office or multidisciplinary teamsComp & BenefitsSalary: $290,000 - $390,000BonusBenefits include:Medical, Dental & Vision insurance401(k) retirement planLife & disability insuranceAdoption assistanceBackup dependent careWhy Join This FirmStrong and growing energy and renewables platformHigh quality deals across power, infrastructure, and energy transitionOpportunity for early responsibility on complex transactionsCollaborative, cross office team environmentClear pathway for long term development within a leading practiceApplication RequirementsResumeLaw school transcriptDeal sheet (if available)Interested?
