Maintenance Technician

Job Descriptiongpac is working with a rapidly growing national manufacturer that is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technicians for their facility in east central PA.This company is expanding rapidly and their commitment to sustainability and innovation positions them as a leading manufacturer.Maintenance Tech 2nd or 3rd ShiftResponsibilities:Perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space with the Maintenance/Engineering team as required.Maintain existing warehousing & production facilities in effective operating condition.Inspect and repair machinery and facility systems like electrical and plumbing to avoid equipment failures and Downtime.Coordinate project status with supervisor to prevent unplanned production downtime.Required to work on all mechanical equipment repairs and maintenance programs, including supporting the development of a NORPEL PSM program and a PM program.Attend calls on lines, working on planned and unplanned Maintenance work.Complete Work Orders to include Annual, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily PM's.Support and manage Maintenance and Engineering projects as needed.General building maintenance including light electrical.Occasional repairs on material handling equipment.Working with production leaders to improve efficiency of equipment and lines.Knowledge of Conveyors, Gear boxes, Motors, PLC's and Soft start programing.Qualifications:Ability to follow plans for repair and maintenance.2+ years mechanical and electrical experience maintaining forklifts and warehouse equipment or combination of experience and trade school.Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders in the set up and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.Physically capable of lifting as much as one hundred pounds and carrying 50 pounds.Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability.Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.Effective problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.High school diploma or GEDPrevious experience in facility/factory maintenance, including with conveyor belts.Previous experience in facility/factory refrigeration areas is desired.Must have a valid Driver's license and transportation.Previous experience in facility/factory maintenance, including with conveyor belts, grinders, metal detectors, mills, and evaporators.What's in it for you:Competitive market wageGreat benefitsAdvancement opportunitiesWorking with a leading national manufacturerHow to Apply: For immediate & confidential consideration, send your resume directly to: Rick at rick.spinner@gogpac.com
