Senior Manager, Marketplaces (Contract)

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading consumer electronics company to find an experienced Senior Manager, Marketplaces (Contract) for a high-impact contract engagement with strong potential for permanent conversion.This role was created to ensure leadership continuity and accelerate growth during a key commercial transition. You'll own a major 3P retail marketplace business, lead strategic retailer negotiations, and manage a small team — all while driving toward critical Q4 milestones.If you thrive at the intersection of ecommerce strategy, commercial negotiation, and hands-on execution, this is the role for you.Please note this will be a contract opportunity and will be required to work Mon-Fri onsite at their West Loop based office. What You'll DoOwn and manage a large-scale 3P retail marketplace business across floor care, environmental care, and refurbished product categoriesDrive revenue performance through optimization of listings, pricing, assortment, and product availabilityLead end-to-end contract negotiations to launch a new refurbished product program with a top national retailer — from initial kickoff through final commercial agreementDevelop and secure Q4 and holiday promotional placements, including Black Friday and peak trading periodsBuild and execute the promotional calendar in partnership with key retail accountsManage and develop a small team, including an operations lead and account management supportPartner cross-functionally with supply chain, DTC, finance, and commercial teamsContribute to channel strategy discussions, including potential 3P-to-1P model transitions, with clear analysis of margin tradeoffs and operational complexityWhat We're Looking ForProven experience managing large-scale retail or marketplace accounts (Walmart, Amazon, Costco, or comparable national retailers)Strong track record in commercial deal structuring and contract negotiation with major retail partnersBackground in consumer goods — electronics or high-value product experience strongly preferredDeep understanding of ecommerce marketplace dynamics: search algorithms, traffic drivers, ratings, and conversion optimizationDemonstrated people management experience with direct reportsAbility to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environmentBonus QualificationsExperience managing or launching 3P marketplace businessesFamiliarity with refurbished product programs or secondary market channelsExposure to 1P vs. 3P business model strategy and transitionsExperience with ecommerce integration or middleware platformsWhy This RoleHigh-visibility contract with a globally recognized consumer electronics brandReal conversion potential for the right candidateDirect ownership of a meaningful P&L and key retail relationshipsImmediate impact ahead of a critical Q4 seasonContract DetailsEmployment Type: W2 contract Location: West LoopOn-Site Schedule: Mon-Fri fully onsite Hourly Pay Rate: $60.00-$70.00/hourBenefits: LaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefits.
