Strategic Finance Manager
Overview:
MedQuest is seeking a highly analytical and strategic finance professional to join our team as Manager, Strategic Finance. This role will serve as a key partner to the VP of Finance and executive leadership team, supporting enterprise-level decision making, strategic initiatives, and growth planning.
A core responsibility of this role is developing executive-level presentations and materials that clearly communicate financial insights, strategic recommendations, and business cases to senior leadership and health system stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and decision-oriented executive presentations.
This individual will play a central role in supporting de novo expansion analysis, enterprise strategic planning, M&A and joint venture evaluation, and executive-ready materials that enable timely leadership decisions.
Responsibilities:
Executive-Level Financial Analysis and Presentation Development
Develop executive-level presentations and materials to support strategic decision making by senior leadership and health system stakeholders
Translate complex financial analyses into clear, concise, decision-oriented executive summaries and presentations
Build structured, logically organized presentations that frame business issues, key insights, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations
Support preparation of strategic plans, business cases, and growth initiative materials for executive review
Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality of financial communication across executive-facing materials
Strategic Planning and Growth Analysis
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support de novo expansion, growth initiatives, and enterprise strategic planning
Evaluate investment opportunities, including ROI, payback periods, and long-term value creation
Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to inform strategic decisions
Support long-term financial planning and capital allocation analysis
M&A and Joint Venture Support
Support financial evaluation of acquisition and joint venture opportunities
Assist in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and return assessment for potential transactions
Support due diligence efforts, including financial review, data analysis, and coordination of information requests
Contribute to preparation of investment summaries and executive materials related to transaction opportunities
Enterprise and Cross-Functional Strategic Support
Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and develop integrated analyses
Support evaluation of strategic initiatives, expansion opportunities, and operational improvements
Integrate operational, financial, and strategic perspectives into cohesive analyses and presentations
Finance Function and Operational Support
Support the broader finance organization in developing executive-ready presentations and strategic analyses
Help establish scalable financial modeling frameworks and presentation standards
Assist finance and operational leaders in structuring and communicating strategic financial insights
Provide analytical and presentation support for recurring operating cadence deliverables, working alongside Corporate and Operational Finance leaders to enhance executive-level communication and strategic context
Qualifications:
Required Experience
4–7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
Investment Banking
Corporate Development
Strategic Finance
Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence
Consulting (corporate finance or strategy-focused)
Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations and materials for senior leadership
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including building professional, executive-ready presentations
Preferred Experience
Experience in healthcare services and/or multi-site services business models
Experience supporting executive leadership with strategic planning and financial analysis
Experience working in a complex operating environment with multiple stakeholders
