Senior Property Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. This role is responsible for handling high-level accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and experienced in driving process improvements while maintaining accuracy and integrity across all financial activities.Key Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, financial reporting, billing, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and revenue recognitionOversee semi-monthly payroll processing (experience with Paylocity is a plus)Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsMonitor cash flow, funding balances, and large financial transactions including debt and loan paymentsEnsure accurate and organized recordkeeping of all financial transactions, statements, and accountsPrepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for leadershipLead annual budgeting and forecasting processesIdentify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practicesEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirementsPartner with external CPA firms and other financial professionals as neededCollaborate with senior leadership and provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to accounting staffQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field5–7 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control principlesProficiency in MS Dynamics/Business Central accounting systems and advanced Excel skills preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work cross-functionally and support senior leadershipExperience managing or mentoring team members is highly preferredThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven accounting professional to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting the continued growth of the organization.
