Assistant - Inventory (YORK)

Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our inventory systems running smoothly—supporting both the Tag Room and broader production operations.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, thrives in a structured environment, and can be trusted to manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately pull and stage tag inventory for Production and Shipping departmentsReceive and properly label new inventoryPerform basic inventory tasks using our MAS ERP systemStore inventory in designated locations and update system accordinglyOrganize bins and consolidate inventory to maximize spaceReview receiving schedules to proactively plan for inventory placementCollaborate with other departments to ensure timely inventory supportAssist with physical inventory counts and reconciliationsPerform additional inventory-related tasks as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForRequiredBasic Microsoft Office 365 skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and interpret spreadsheets and data entry documentsSelf-motivated and dependable; able to work independentlyTeam player with strong communication skillsValid driver’s licensePreferred1–2 years of experience in inventory or warehouse operationsForklift certificationFamiliarity with ERP/inventory systems (MAS preferred)Knowledge of Metrolina tag types and terminologyWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is primarily in a covered inventory area, with some tasks in office and outdoor settingsMust be comfortable working around dust, allergens, and varying weather conditionsRequires standing, bending, lifting, squatting, and reaching throughout the dayAbility to lift up to 35 lbs unaided and 50 lbs with assistanceMay operate scooters or other machinery as needed (training provided)Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, with required overtime and weekends during peak seasonsWhy Join Metrolina Greenhouses?Work for an industry leader in a fast-paced and supportive environmentBe part of a dedicated team that values accuracy, accountability, and growthOpportunities to gain certifications and grow your career in operations or logisticsApply today to become an essential part of our inventory operations—where organization meets impact.
