Business Intelligence Etl EngineerThe Business Intelligence ETL Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high quality business intelligence solutions within the Ariba IT organization. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the integration of data from various systems into a defined data warehouse. The foundation of this role is built on the continued development of strong knowledge and expertise in data integration, databases and business intelligence reporting and analysis. Our goal is to support and improve the decision-making process for our leaders and customers to help them plan for the future. The person filling this role must be well rounded and a good mix of technical capabilities, business focus, process focus, and analytics focus. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and demonstrate a passion for continuous learning.Duties and Responsibilities:Create, transform, support, and maintain ETL Data Flows using SAP Data Services.Create and Modify database tables within the Data Warehouse.Provide User support for Incidents and Service Requests.Participate in project planning, task assignments and roadmap guidance.Basic Minimum Qualifications:Firm understanding of Data Services 4.2.Minimum 3 years experience in Business Intelligence with a preference for Data Services.Good database abilities to create analytics solutions that meet the business needs.Experience / knowledge of a MS SQL Server database environment.SQL query and extraction skills related to information retrieval and analysis.Business Intelligence lifecycle methodology and best practices.Good written / communication skills and focus on detail.Preferred Qualifications:BS / Technical Degree.Firm understanding of BusinessObjects 4.2.Experience with Web Intelligence, Xcelsius, Design Studio, Lumira, Mobile, Lifecycle Manager, SDK.Ability to design, create and maintain Business Objects Universes.Experience / knowledge of a Hana database environment.Ability to instill and reinforce a strong customer service and business-oriented ethic.Friendly presence, good interpersonal skills, helpful attitude, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
