At TW Constructors, we build more than facilities, we build community support and success.The RoleThe Superintendent leads, directs, and coordinates the work of Trade Partners, Company Labor, and Joint Venture Labor. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work is performed to standard, and adherence to budget and time frame of the project. The Superintendent has supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns and Trade Labor in their area of responsibility. A Superintendent assures quality control for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, construction, start up, and testing on assigned project work sites.This position is a night shift position that comes with a salary and per diem incentive.ResponsibilitiesEffectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and co-workersAble to read electrical diagrams/schematicsCoordinate with preconstruction, design, engineering, procurement, operations, safety, quality, and all other project site management team members to assure that the there is always adequate project resources.Actively contribute to the project schedule and close-out processMonitor project labor, project costs, and equipment needsParticipate in the design development process to collaborate and value engineer construction methods to reduce time and costAssist in the preconstruction, quality, and safety processesEstablish and maintain project schedules and budgets, responsible for overall project deliveryEnsure contractor compliance of safety/OSHA requirements are met on all job sites to minimize riskEstablish effective relationships and strive for a collaborative team environmentStrong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.Our projects are nationwide - Travel will be requiredQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial construction site managementDesign-Build experience is idealActive jobsite experience and strong safety record Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports, etc.Significant knowledge of construction methods as well as an understanding of municipalities and the permit processesAbility to manage subcontractors and vendorsProven ability to negotiate and track change orders, submittals, RFI's, and pay requestsAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks at a timeProven ability to direct Superintendent to ensure accurate completion of project scopeDocumented ability to meet sensitive timelinesStrong knowledge of Building Code and Safety RegulationsStrong knowledge of MS Office suite including MS Excel, and MS Project or other Project Management softwareProcore Certified or knowledge and skill in ProcoreAbility to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffoldingWe are a drug free work place, must be able to pass pre and random drug testsSelf-motivated and able to lead and motivate team membersThoughtful and confident decision making skills with high ethical standardsGood verbal and written communication skillsGood interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalismProblem solving skills and the ability to think and react quickly under pressureService-oriented approach in working with owners, co-workers, and any joint venture partnersStrong attention to detail and high level of organizationReliable, dependable and professional with a strong sense of urgencyWhy People Choose TW ConstructorsTW Constructors is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and safe workplace where people feel connected, valued, and able to reach their full potential.
