Machine Set-Up Operator

Job Description Hours: Monday - Thursday 5AM - 330 PMWe are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Set-Up Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Addison, IL. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating fabrication machinery used in the production of custom wire, tube, and metal products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of machine operation, tooling, quality standards, and safety procedures.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up and adjust manufacturing equipment for production runs according to specifications and work ordersOperate machines such as wire forming equipment, tube benders, presses, and fabrication machineryChange tooling, dies, fixtures, and machine settings to meet production requirementsPerform first-piece inspections and verify product quality using measuring toolsTroubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and qualityRead blueprints, work instructions, and production drawingsMonitor production output and ensure parts meet quality standardsPerform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine upkeepMaintain a clean and safe work area following all safety policiesWork closely with supervisors and production personnel to meet production goalsQualificationsPrevious experience as a machine set-up operator, machine operator, or manufacturing technician preferredExperience in metal fabrication, wire forming, stamping, or tube bending is a plusAbility to read tape measures, calipers, blueprints, and production drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsForklift experience is a plusDependable attendance and strong work ethic requiredPreferred SkillsCNC setup experienceMIG/TIG welding knowledgeExperience in custom fabrication environmentsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing and production efficiencyCompany DescriptionLabor Solutions, LLC is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry throughout the Midwest area.
