Salesforce Quality Engineer
Position DescriptionThis role will be performed at our client site in Pittsburgh, PA.For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be available.We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Quality Engineer (QE) to lead testing strategy, quality validation, and end‑to‑end assurance across Salesforce initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to design and execute scalable, high‑quality test solutions.This role involves partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and cross‑functional teams to define test requirements, validate functionality, optimize processes, and ensure that Salesforce enhancements and new features meet both functional and technical expectations. The Salesforce QE will play a key role in driving clarity around acceptance criteria, maintaining testing and documentation standards, supporting development cycles, and ensuring successful delivery through rigorous testing, automation, and quality best practices.Your future duties and responsibilities Salesforce Validation & automation Testing - Data Validation Rules: Familiarity with Salesforce's validation rules to ensure that data meets the necessary criteria before being imported. Custom Objects & Fields Testing: Verifying that custom objects, fields, and record types are correctly populated after migration. Salesforce Reports & Dashboards: Testing and verifying the migration by creating reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy post-migration. Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Cucumber and Selenium Testing Skills Test Planning: Ability to create detailed test plans and strategies for data migration. Test Case Design: Writing test cases that cover all migration scenarios (data format, volume, transformations). Data Quality Testing: Validating data for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and integrity. Regression Testing: Ensuring that the migration doesn't negatively impact existing systems or applications. Problem-Solving Skills - Data Anomaly Identification: Ability to identify data issues such as duplicates, missing values, or incorrect formatting. Issue Resolution: Debugging and troubleshooting issues Data Reconciliation: Identifying mismatches between source and target systems and proposing solutions. Soft skills Collaborate closely with developers and product owners Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies Ensure adherence to QE standards, processes, and compliance requirements#2026NSRequired Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role3-5 years of Salesforce experience, including hands on work across platform capabilities and quality engineering practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into clear test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and quality requirements. Solid understanding of the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, test planning, automation, execution, defect management, and deployment validation. Proven ability to troubleshoot functional issues, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement of system enhancements. Working knowledge of Salesforce configuration components such as Flows, Validation Rules, Page Layouts, Permission Sets, and custom objects to support effective test coverage. Familiarity with data structures, APIs, and integration concepts across enterprise systems, including hands on experience validating Java based API integrations. Experience with tools and technologies relevant to system and quality analysis, such as SQL, data mapping, API testing tools (e.g., Postman), and process modeling. Strong problem solving abilities, stakeholder collaboration skills, and a customer focused approach to ensuring high quality Salesforce delivery.Other Information:CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
