Automation Engineer

Job Summary:Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.Duties:Design, develop and maintain an automation framework using JavaScript and Cypress.io against multiple web-based payment portals for both UI and APICreate automated processes for triggering nightly runs and monitor them regularlyCollaborate closely with engineering teams to make sure QA and automation is an integral part of the processCreate comprehensive test strategies for new development and ensure regression coverage across platformsIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices using Docker and JenkinsParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and provide constructive feedback to junior Automation Engineers along with mentoring and sharing best practices for driving continuous improvementAnalyze test results, identify framework issues, and provide recommendations for resolutionTroubleshoot and develop solutions for automation against difficult-to-automate areas of the productIdentify and communicate automation needs and challenges and follow them through to resolutionWork within a Scrum based SDLC and report on automation progress to management and during sprint ceremoniesPerform other duties and responsibilities as requiredDesired Skills/Experience:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience5+ years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating simple to medium complexity processesExperience in test automation and building frameworks from scratchHands-on development experience with Typescript and JavaScriptHands-on experience with the Cypress.io automation frameworkExperience with backend API automation using Python or other language(s)Proficient with Git and Bitbucket for version controlFamiliarity with Playwright, Docker, Jenkins, SQL databases, React.JS, and Node.JSExperience in security/penetration, performance, and load testingStrong understanding of software test automation best practicesHaving knowledge of programming experience in Golang, PHP, Python, or Java is preferredExperience with API testing using Bruno is preferredExperience with AWS, Terraform and building CI/CD pipelines is preferredFamiliarity with handling sensitive data (HIPAA, PCI, PII compliance) is preferredKnowledge of e-commerce and point of sale hardware testing is preferredBenefits:Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance PlansEmployee-Owned Profit Sharing (ESOP)401K offeredThe approximate pay range for this position is between $44.00 and $64.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
