See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Business & Program Services Section of the Waste Permits Division.HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGComplete and oversee personnel management functions, which include interviewing, hiring, and developing staff, performance management, etc.Assign work and oversee the highly advanced staff and activities of the team, consistent with division and section goals and objectives.Communicate program information to employees, management, and internal and external stakeholders.Oversee and assure the quality and timeliness of customer service by team staff for both internal and external customers, contribute to the division's commitment toward continuous improvement.KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience managing and/or leading a team of professional program and administrative staff that may include hiring and training employees, assigning workloads, reviewing work, preparing and administering performance appraisals, scheduling/approving leave, preparing Personnel Action forms, administering disciplinary actions, assuring staff development, etc.Experience managing projects, i.e., tracking project progress; maintaining scheduled deadlines; revising schedules; interacting with other professional staff to obtain necessary information; and/or developing or supervising the development of the final work product.Qualifications:REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEExperience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment. ORGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility.
