Fire Alarm Technician

We are actively searching for experienced fire alarm install technicians in our Northern IN location.Key Responsibilities:Technical aptitudeAble to climb laddersAble to work in a lift (no fear of heights)Able to lift up to 50 poundsMust provide basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, strippers, lineman pliers, tape measure)Basic troubleshooting skills (ground fault, batteries, phone line, open circuit, short circuit)Ability to work alone or with othersAble to read & follow blueprints/drawingsAbility to decipher the resistor color codeMechanical aptitude (ability to read and understand a schematic)Basic programming skills (small system set up)Ability to read, use and understand a multi-meterAbility to use a telephone butt-setAbility to use a tone generatorDevice replacement skills (reprogramming a new device)Ability to disable most fire alarm panel NAC circuitsFactory Trained on any Fire Alarm systemNICET I or II in Fire Alarm a plus but not requiredRequirements:Must be at least 18 years old.Must have a high school diploma or GEDMust be physically fit to do the work of the tradeMust have other than dishonorable discharge from the military (if applicable)Must pass an appropriate drug test and MVR
