Dock WorkerPower Play Distributors is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) company based in Bolingbrook, IL that is responsible for the distribution of premium frozen pizza products throughout the Midwestern states. The dock worker is responsible for picking and staging in and outbound product orders; loading and moving material on and off trucks.Function:Daily inspection of forklifts and check of trailer safetyWork from verbal orders and written production sheetsUpdate orders placed by Sales RepsLoad and unload trailersPick and palletize RSR orders.Maintain product flow in and out of the freezerPerform daily housekeeping of dock area, including but not limited to sweeping dock area and emptying garbageUse forklift, hand pallet jacks, hand carts, computer, trailer refer equipment, and common office suppliesFollow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly conditionMoving route trucks in yard when requiredPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Demands:Incumbent must also be able to stand and move around the work areaForklift operation may involve periods of prolonged sitting.Requires bending, squatting, climbing, reaching to gather and move picked items.Must be able to regularly lift and carry, up to 25lbsMust be able to push/pull pallet jack loaded with material weighing up to 1400lbs.Work takes place in a warehouse environment which includes working in, on and around open docks and freezer unit.
