Director of Quality

Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership to the quality assurance function, ensuring alignment of quality initiatives with overall business goals and objectives. Develop, implement, and continuously refine quality strategies and improvement plans to enhance operational performance. Establish and oversee robust quality control systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Perform routine audits, inspections, and evaluations to maintain consistent quality outcomes. Design and deliver training programs to educate construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality standards and best practices. Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across all project phases. Partner with safety teams to ensure alignment between quality standards and safety regulations. Ensure full compliance with applicable safety guidelines and industry requirements. Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation, including plans, inspection reports, and project records. Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to leadership and key stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive quality enhancements. Build and sustain strong client relationships, proactively addressing quality-related concerns. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through consistent delivery of quality outcomes. Lead, mentor, and develop the quality assurance team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline; advanced degree or certifications preferred. Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction quality assurance, including leadership responsibilities. In-depth knowledge of construction quality control practices, safety regulations, and industry standards. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with quality management systems and related tools. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality excellence, and continuous improvement.
