Contract Manager
The Contract Manager I is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of procurement contracts, from initial creation and submission through to final closure and issuance of purchase orders. This entry-level role supports procurement and contract processes within a developing team, ensuring compliance with governance standards and supporting stakeholders effectively. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in SAP MM–PUR modules.
Responsibilities
Create accurate and compliant Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in SAP MM–PUR, supporting timely procurement activities.
Manage delegated micro-contracts up to $25,000, including requesting quotes, validating scopes, and issuing PRs and POs in SAP.
Maintain and update purchasing catalogs by adding new materials, validating descriptions, and ensuring item accuracy.
Coordinate with suppliers to request quotations, negotiate basic commercial terms within delegated thresholds, and ensure fair supplier selection.
Prepare contract packages for procurement, including detailed Scope of Work, Schedule of Values, and vendor lists, ensuring completeness and adherence to pre-tender requirements.
Develop contract documentation such as Annexes and Justifications for Direct Assignments, ensuring compliance and clarity.
Facilitate the handover of contract details to the Contract Supervisor, including deliverables, acceptance criteria, and warranty terms.
Monitor and report on the status of contract packages, highlighting milestones and completion timelines.
Support the Manager in supplier performance management and issue resolution related to contract execution.
Maintain organized contract records in accordance with company policies and audit standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
0–3 years of experience in contract or procurement management.
Proficiency with SAP MM–PUR module, particularly in creating PRs and POs.
Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues to management.
Ability to interpret legal and contractual documents effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Adaptability to manage deadlines, ambiguity, and changing priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
Publishing Pay Range: $48.00 – $49.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
