Protecting the Warfighter is our mission - come and join us!The Heat Treat Technician will be responsible for the proper heat treatment and straightening of aluminum brazements for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is a critical role within the special process team and requires a detailed mind set. This role reports directly to the Heat Treat supervisor.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesStrive towards a culture of proactive safety.Review all documentation to ensure process is fully understood prior to processing of work.Prepare and fixture aluminum brazments for heat treatment process per work instructions.Load/unload automated horizontal quench system, solutionizing furnaces and aging furnaces per work instructions.Complete all furnace load documentation and log entries including the recording of load placement time, quench time, serial numbers and any other required parameters.Straightens Aluminum Brazements to blueprint specifications, using hydraulic press, hand tools and measuring instrumentation.Perform hardness testing and record results for all brazements as per documented work instructions and process specific requirements.Other duties as assigned.ExperienceHigh School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).Previous manufacturing experience preferred.Ability to read internal drawings and use basic measuring equipment.What We OfferMedical, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Additional 40 hours of Sick TimePaid Parental LeaveCompetitive 401(k) plan with employer matching contributionsEducation reimbursement program for professional developmentClimate-controlled facilitySubsidized vending and on-site break areasComplimentary coffee and refreshmentsClean, modern work environment with advanced equipment and technologyOpportunities for career growth within a stable, growing aerospace manufacturing organizationAbout HeicoHeico has a history of success.
