Project Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established, high-growth company to identify a Project Accountant to support large-scale construction projects. This organization has a strong reputation, a collaborative culture, and a track record of consistent growth and performance.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys working closely with project teams to manage subcontractor billing, financial tracking, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Process and administer subcontractor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and compliance within the systemPrepare and validate all supporting materials required for accurate owner billing requestsMonitor project-level financial exposure and confirm adherence to subcontractor insurance and risk requirementsPartner with project managers to track job costs, analyze variances, and support ongoing budget reportingExamine certified payroll submissions to ensure they meet applicable regulatory standardsProduce and distribute project financial reports while helping field teams interpret key financial dataLeverage accounting systems and project management tools to efficiently complete assigned responsibilitiesQualifications:4-5+ years of project accounting experience within a general contractor (subcontractor experience may be considered)Experience supporting large-scale construction projects (typically $30M+)Strong understanding of subcontractor billing and project cost trackingExperience with Sage and/or Textura preferredStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teamsDegree is not requiredCompensation & BenefitsBase salaryEligible for performance-based bonusHybrid work flexibility (1 remote day/week)Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership supportRegular team events, company-wide gatherings, and employee engagement activitiesWhy This OpportunityJoin a growing organization with increasing project volume and strong financial performanceHigh visibility role working closely with finance leadership and project teamsSupportive environment that values autonomy, professional development, and team culture
