Medical Collections Representative

Lev Diagnostics is looking to hire a Medical Billing and Collections Specialist with a proven track record. We are a friendly small office and are seeking a dynamic individual with billing and collections experience to join our team! Your compensation will be commensurate with your results. Preferred candidates will be patient, empathetic, reliable, open, honest and flexible. Strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills a plus. General Accountabilities: Determine eligibility of consumer. Review patient accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of claims billing for maximum reimbursement. Review Explanation Of Benefits from third party payers to determine if payment was made correctly and if denials can be re-billed. Correct all rejections familiar with Medicare rules and private insurances. Review receivables to ensure collection. Provide information to insurance carriers or patients regarding patient accounts. Assist patients with billing problems. Notify supervisor of ongoing challenges. Maintain files on all documentation such as charge slips, explanation of benefits, and client or patient information. Prepare and distribute reports. Refer accounts to collections in accordance with policy.
