Pulmonary Post-Acute ARNP (1099 PRN)Location: Central FloridaFlexible schedule: 2-3 weekdays a weekJob SummaryWe are seeking a Pulmonary Post-Acute Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to provide high-quality patient care within skilled nursing facilities throughout Central Florida. The provider will be responsible for conducting patient rounds, communicating with patients and facility staff, and delivering accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education, and follow-up care.Primary ResponsibilitiesConduct patient examinations and obtain medical historiesAdhere to proper documentation and charting protocolsCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plansOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as appropriateSubmit patient healthcare plans and goals for physician reviewDiagnose conditions and communicate results and treatment plans to patientsAdminister and prescribe medications and treatmentsPromote preventative care through patient education on diet, hygiene, and disease preventionAdminister vaccinations and inoculations as requiredRefer patients to specialists when necessary for continuity of careReport deaths and communicable diseases to appropriate governmental authoritiesPerform additional duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceCurrent and unrestricted Florida APRN licenseCurrent National Board CertificationCurrent DEA licensePost-acute care experience requiredMinimum of one (1) year pulmonary experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong written, verbal, and electronic communication skillsDemonstrated initiative, creativity, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide quality patient careAdditional QualificationsPrior experience using an electronic medical records (EMR) system preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredReporting RelationshipReports directly to the Supervisory Physician and Post-Acute Executive Director.Physical RequirementsAbility to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staffAbility to use a computer, printer, scanner, and other office equipmentAbility to sit, stand, and view a computer screen for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsAbility to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objectsAbility to reach with hands and armsPIffa8d0b0ad9c-26289-40571649
