Join us and play an important part on our incredible team!What you get to do:As a Host or Hostess for Guest Services at Discovery Cove, you’ll provide the highest level of guest service and satisfaction. Your positive attitude and can-do spirit will make all the difference as you help create positive, lasting memories for our guests. You will: Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and interacting with guests, answering questions and resolving guest issuesPerform guest laundry tasks such as loading/unloading washers and dryers, folding towels, and preparing wetsuits and gear bagsFacilitate an organized traffic flow of both guests and their vehiclesAdhere to safety policiesDeliver park orientation spiels to large groups of guestsDistribute lockers, gear bags, and wetsuits to guests, ensuring proper fit of swim gearMonitor, sort, and restock gear and supplies throughout shiftMaintain cleanliness of all assigned areas including trash removal and sweeping of indoor/outdoor pathways and lots, wiping down beach chairs and raising umbrellas, and other light cleaning duties as neededPerform other duties as assignedWhat it takes to succeed:Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to work varied shifts (opening shifts start as early as 6:00am and closing shifts end as late as 11:00pm)Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and guestsMust be comfortable speaking to large groupsMust be able operate washer, dryer, and towel machine with trainingMust be comfortable with completing all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicalsMust be comfortable handling wetsuits (neoprene) and latex productsMust be able to train on and properly use protective gearMust be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odorMust be able to stand for entire shiftMust be able to walk in sandMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsMust be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds with assistanceMust be able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibilityMust be comfortable working around water and animalsMust be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsThe perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunitiesExclusive employee events and giveaways EEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
