Salary Range $21.00 - $29.40 Hourly Position Type Full Time
DescriptionMust be comfortable working with underserved populations, specifically in Alcohol and Drug Prevention Services.
Work schedule will be Mon to Wed 12:00pm to 9:00pm, Thurs and Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform other front desk activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet patients upon arrival, collect necessary information, and get patients checked in.
Receive phone calls and screen and direct calls.
Schedule appointments, coordinate with staff, facilitate appointment cancellations, and reschedule requests.
Verify patient insurance information.
Track telephonic sessions and group session attendance, including telehealth and in-person.
Log urinalysis test results and deliver results to appropriate counselors.
Complete office administrative tasks.
Order and maintain front desk supplies.
File documents and follow record retention policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience. Associate's degree or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience preferred.
0 to 1 year of related experience.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE
Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
BLS/CPR certification preferred.
Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.
