This position is responsible for various duties in both front and back of house operations in the restaurant, bar and banquets while adhering to sanitation and cleanliness standards. The Back Waiter plays a key role in striving to meet and exceed Four-Star service standards delivering high-quality service and amenities with strong attention to detail, ensuring excellence in every guest interaction, and consistently exceeding expectations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.Food and Beverage Service (70%):Greet all guests upon arrival with a polished and professional demeanor Seat guests and provide menus to guests in a friendly, professional and timely mannerMaintain knowledge of menu of restaurant and bar specials, offering expert-level recommendations to enhance guest experience and anticipate guest needs, delivering personalized, luxury-level serviceEnsure tables are set and meet restaurant and bar cleanliness standards, retrieve and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, bus and clean tables after each guest useAssist In Room Dining by taking guest orders following phone etiquette guidelines, delivering food to guest rooms, and following the restaurants pick up procedures Support banquet staff if needed by ensuring banquet space is set-up and service delivery is carried out according to guest expectations and BEOMulti-task with an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency while adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policiesPerform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to the supervisor or General ManagerGuest Relations (20%):Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay is up to expectationsHandle guest complaints, requests, and concerns with professionalism and discretion, using the Oxford Collection guest recovery, and service gestures consistent with Forbes service standardsCommunicate clearly and effectively with guests and kitchen staff.
