Business Development Officer – Asset Based Lending (ABL)
OverviewA growing commercial lending platform is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to expand its Asset Based Lending (ABL) presence throughout the New York City Metro area. This role is focused on driving new business development within the middle-market ABL space. This position offers the opportunity to help grow an expanding lending platform while working alongside an established credit and portfolio management infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesOriginate and close middle-market ABL transactions ranging from $5MM–$50MM in facility size.Structure financing solutions secured by accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, and other working capital assets.Manage deal flow from initial sourcing through term sheet negotiation and closing in partnership with internal credit teams.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of self-generated ABL opportunities throughout the NYC, NJ, and CT markets.Qualifications7+ years of Asset Based Lending business development or origination experience.Proven track record of independently sourcing and closing ABL transactions within the middle-market space.Strong understanding of collateral-based lending structures, underwriting fundamentals, and working capital finance.Established network of borrowers, sponsors, and referral sources within the Northeast ABL market.
