Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with 3–4 years of professional experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot. Develop scalable RESTful APIs and Microservices for enterprise applications. Implement business requirements using Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and related frameworks. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. Integrate applications with third-party systems using REST APIs, JSON, XML, and messaging platforms. Build event-driven applications using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, and JWT. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices. Create unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure application quality. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Work with Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization and deployment. Deploy and maintain applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, UI developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders. Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers when required. Maintain technical documentation and contribute to system architecture discussions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Java application development. Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17. Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Security. Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server. Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD tools. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred. Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Preferred Skills Cloud-native application development. API Gateway and service discovery. Redis or other caching technologies. ELK Stack, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana. SonarQube and code quality tools. Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Experience with secure coding practices and application performance tuning.
