TIG Welder Fabricator
Job Description
The TIG Welding Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and welding various components for the production department as per drawing specifications, safety procedures, approved weld procedures and quality assurance requirements.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality welding on stainless steel and aluminum components in accordance with industry specifications and standards.Set up and operate welding equipment while following proper safety procedures at all timesRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.Apply specifications accurately to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality.Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality control standards.Identify defects and take corrective action to maintain consistent weld quality.Collaborate with team members to plan and execute welding projects efficiently.Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to meet project timelines and goals.Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.Follow all required safety protocols while operating equipment and performing welding tasksPerform complex crane lifts as required to support fabrication and assembly activities.Education & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Completion of a Welding Certificate program an asset.CWB certification or C-Ticket (or higher) is considered a strong asset.Specific SkillsProficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG and MIGStrong knowledge of welding codes and standards, such as AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IXAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specificationsExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityFamiliarity with different types of welding equipment and toolsBasic understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment processesStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to work overtime or weekends as requiredPhysical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials, working in various positions and environmentsAbility to lift 50lbs and possess manual dexterityBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage, including FSA/HSACompany-paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability401kEmployee Referral ProgramPaid Holidays and PTOTrainingOpportunities for growthAnd more!10+ years as the North American leader in oilfield equipment innovation and manufacturing, with 3 facilities across the U.S. and Canada, is not only a testament to our customers but a commitment to the team of people who work here every day.
